@broland Nothing can prevent people playing games, but if they do spoof
headers, they run the risk that systems set up to detect bad email will
consider their traffic to be prime candidates for blocking...
What would prevent someone from just spoofing their SMTP headers to
mimic a supported version or just stripping out the information entirely
using an SMTP relay? I'm not going to do it but given all the spoofing
that goes on in e-mail anyway I wouldn't think it would be too hard to
defeat this.
